A Wedding on film! Enjoy a selection of images from our film sessions!
The wedding day started with driving Buzz from VW Love bus. I picked up Dean and his best men. With a beer in hand we hit the roads of Plymouth, Tavistock bound. Soon enough we were stuck behind a tractor and decided to stop early for a few images of the boys. The banter was in full swing and remained so throughout the day. I love all the laughter images. Kathryn and Dean were up for anything to get good wedding photography. When the time was right we all jumped into Buzz and drove to Brent Tor with St Michael’s Church at its top.
Film photography + People + Weddings = a wonderfully natural look. I guess shooting film for me gives me that extra passion. Don’t forget I don’t get to see the results on the day. Only after the scans arrive from my Lab after 10 working days. I’m currently going through a natural look to our images.
I’ve been shooting film at weddings for over a year now, ( not including all the weddings I photographed between 1989 – 2002). I still feel I have a load of learning to do. Digital is a great tool for me to expand my knowledge quickly. Now I’m taking a step back looking to introduce all I have learnt into my analogue photography. I’m excited…….
Special Thanks goes to UK Film Lab, as I see it my work on film is a collaboration, a team effort. Without the feed back and support I get I might not be so keen to pick up a camera every second of the day even when I’m not working 🙂
All images here have been shot on Film using a 35mm Canon Eos 1V & 120 Bronica range finder 645 on Kodak Portra 400. FILM is Most definitely alive and kicking!
