Country Ways Wedding Photographer | Adele & Matthew’s Beautiful North Devon Wedding

There are some wedding venues that instantly make you reach for your camera, and Country Ways is definitely one of them.

Set amongst the rolling North Devon countryside, with beautiful views stretching across the landscape, it’s a venue that feels both relaxed and incredibly special. Adele & Matthew chose it perfectly for their wedding day, creating a celebration that was filled with love, laughter and some truly stunning moments from beginning to end.

This was our first time photographing as Country Ways wedding photographers  and from the moment we arrived, Andrew and I knew it was somewhere we’d love to return to.

While Andrew spent the morning with the boys capturing the final preparations, I joined Adele and her bridal party as excitement built ahead of the ceremony. There was such a lovely atmosphere throughout the morning. Plenty of laughter, a few emotional moments and that wonderful sense of anticipation that always comes before a wedding day begins.

One of the things we loved most about Country Ways was how much there was for guests to enjoy throughout the day. From the beautifully kept grounds to the outdoor games and mini golf, there were so many opportunities for people to relax, have fun and make the most of the surroundings.

And then there was the Highland cattle calf.

The venue’s countryside setting provides a real sense of escape and character, making it feel completely different from a traditional wedding venue.

A Stunning Outdoor Ceremony at Country Ways

The highlight of the day had to be the outdoor ceremony.

With family and friends gathered around, surrounded by beautiful Devon countryside, Adele & Matthew exchanged their vows in the sunshine beneath blue skies. It was one of those ceremonies where you could feel just how much love there was in the space around them.

There were smiles, happy tears, signing and plenty of laughter as they officially became husband and wife.

It was relaxed, heartfelt and absolutely beautiful to witness.

As Country Ways wedding photographer, outdoor ceremonies like this are always a joy to photograph. The natural setting, the light and the emotion combine to create images that feel timeless.

Relaxed Wedding Photography in The North Devon Countryside

As the celebrations continued, guests enjoyed drinks, games and time together while we captured the natural moments that tell the real story of a wedding day.

One of the things Andrew and I love most about working together as Country Ways wedding photographer is being able to photograph different parts of the day simultaneously. While one of us is documenting the big moments, the other is often capturing those quieter interactions that couples never get to see themselves.

Country Ways offers beautiful opportunities for relaxed wedding photography, with open countryside, wild May flowers and endless views providing the perfect backdrop.

Later in the evening, we headed out into the fields with Adele & Matthew as the light softened across the landscape.

These ended up being some of my favourite photographs from the entire day.

Just the two of them, taking a few moments away from the celebrations, surrounded by the North Devon countryside and enjoying the first evening of married life together.

The light was beautiful, the views were incredible and the photographs perfectly reflected the feeling of the day.

Joyful, relaxed and completely genuine.

A Wedding Full of Love and Laughter

Adele & Matthew’s wedding wasn’t just beautiful to look at. It was one of those days that felt wonderful to be part of.

A celebration filled with great people, huge laughs, emotional moments and so much genuine happiness.

Our first wedding as Country Ways wedding photographers  certainly didn’t disappoint, and if every wedding there is anything like Adele & Matthew’s, we can’t wait to return.
