We drove in rain and mist to The Horn of Plenty for Laura & Jamie wedding.
And yet still the venue looked amazing. Decorated in a delicate vintage theme for the wedding it felt warm and welcoming. Andrew & I photographed many beautiful weddings at this boutique country house. We love its grounds, colours in the gardens and tastefully decorated rooms. No surprise it was the only choice for Laura & Jamie’ Big Day.
While Jamie and the groomsmen were welcoming arriving guest and family members, Laura and the bridesmaids were getting ready at Horn of Plenty bridal suite upstairs. Laura’s magnificent, mermaid style dress was Drusila by Pronovias bought from our lovely friends at the Wedding Company Plympton. To finish the look she wore a fingertip lace edge veil. Absolutely stunning! When she entered the ceremony room with her father all heads were turned. A truly beautiful bride.
After the ceremony, confetti, family and friends and a group of everyone. Then finally the time came to photograph the beautiful bride & groom. Towards the end of the shoot we had a bit of rain. Even Laura & Jamie’s little boy didn’t mind a few drops of rain and kept smiling through a little photo session with his parents.
All the guests at Horn of Plenty really had a blast, fine food and drink provided. Because of the weather people stayed together, talked, laughed, danced and enjoyed the wedding for what it was. A happy gathering of family and friends to celebrate two people getting married. The rain didn’t spoil the day, it made it really special.
