Claudia & Will’s Romantic Outdoor Wedding at Deer Park Country House

Some weddings just have that perfect flow — from sun-drenched ceremony to moody elegance — and Claudia & Will’s day at Deer Park Country House near Honiton was exactly that.

They tied the knot in the Italian Garden, surrounded by lush greenery, late-summer blooms, and the soft murmur of Devon countryside in the background. The sunshine beamed down as they exchanged vows, and the whole ceremony had this warm, natural charm — no fuss, just heartfelt moments and a real sense of joy.

After the ceremony, the celebrations spilled out into the gardens where guests enjoyed fizz, canapés, and the kind of golden-hour glow we photographers cross our fingers for. There’s something special about this part of the day — the laughter, the clinking glasses, the hugs, the stolen glances. You can’t pose that kind of energy. You just have to be there to catch it.

Later, I whisked Claudia & Will away for a few portraits in the grounds — some natural, romantic shots among the trees and gardens. Then we took a little detour.

A little escape from the sunshine and celebration…

Inside Deer Park, the atmosphere shifted. The buzz faded. We stepped into a world of chandeliers, rich tones, and soft window light — the kind photographers dream of. It felt cinematic. Intimate. A different mood entirely.
