The Great Barn Devon wedding photographer

Vintage details at the Great Barn

Known as the “thatched cathedral” the vast 45ft high oak ceiling  of the Great Barn provides  spectacular opertunities for wedding photography. Emma and  John, the owners are super proud of this creation and so they  should be. I love the attention to detail right down to infra- red controlled lighting. The Great barn has a special feeling, no wonder so many people fall head over heals in love with  the 15th century barn with soul. Offering friendly professional service topped with a rare  peek into a perfectly restored “day’s long gone”   medieval courtyard with stunning walled gardens.

Shane & Laura had a mixed day where the weather was concerned, overcast diffused sun gave Aga & I some great colourful images in the spectacularly kept gardens, however this soon gave way to heavy rain. Not disturbed our newly weds kept up with he program and smiled, even heading out to a slightly sheltered location for some images in a country lane. I mentioned the lighting in the Great barn earlier, We Knew we would still get some amazing images inside.

I loved Laura’s wedding dress, very unusual …….She looked like an angel.
