Trevenna barns in Cornwall

Trevenna Barns a super chilled wedding venue in Cornwall

Loved receiving this excited email after photographing a spectacular wedding at Trevenna barns.

It makes our hard work, planning, photographing and editing so much more satisfying 🙂 Can’t wait to get designing when the album choices come in.

“Wow, these are just truly stunning and capture our day so well we are so pleased! Thank you!!!! The shots in the evening are just beautiful! I’ll never look at a cornfield in the same way again! I can’t wait to chat re the album it’s going to be amazing! Thanks so much! Victoria & Carl”

Looking back on the day even the drive to Trevenna barns along the Cornish part of the A38 full of excitement, with the sun shining and  Black Lace’s  “Agadoo ” blasting out of the van’s speakers. It was always going to be a great day.

We 1st met Carl was over 10 years ago at our dear friends/ clients Kelly and Dan’s wedding. Carl was the groom’s usher and brother. Today the tables where turned. It was fantastic to see so many familiar faces.

I will mention the grooms & grooms men’s suits again. Know I harp on about grooms suits but I can’t shout loud enough in favour of a regular, well fitted, timeless suit. Carl and his crew decided on a Tweed suit, Perfect for a barn wedding. Check out the Grooms Room Plymouth for more tailored ideas. Even their dog Hendricks had a bow tie.

Victoria is our beautiful bride lucky enough to land Carl. We haven’t had the pleasure of meeting our bride before the wedding other than Skype calls, however, on the day it felt like we were already friends for a long time. How lovely and relaxed do they look together?

Victoria’s amazing dress came from the Pronovias department at The Wedding company Plymouth. Kelly our bride (from Kelly and Dan’s wedding in 2006) now owns the Bridal shop and simply loves getting involved in wedding planning.

Amanda Randell took charge of the beautiful wedding floristry with her usual flare and creativity managing to compliment the bridesmaids dresses perfectly.

Victoria & Carl wanted us to shoot reportage, a relaxed style of documentary photography, capturing the moments throughout the day. Half an hour before the wedding breakfast we bundled our Bride & Groom into the van for a short drive to Colliford dam for a few amazing photographs while also allowing some intimate time for the Bride & Groom away from the excitement and guests.

If you are planning a wedding ask your friends and family what they would change about their day? I would imagine most couples would say ” Time went so fast” or ” We hardly seen each other” These are just some of the things we like to plan for during your wedding.

During the genuinely funny speeches, I glanced out of the marquees window and my heart began to sink along with the most amazing setting sun, at the 1st opportunity we bundled the couple back into the van to chase that sunset…….. well worth it too. There & back in 10 minutes 😉 Look at these amazing photographs.

I’ve always said on the right day in Devon or Cornwall there really is no need for a destination wedding.
